Pizza Box: Structural design and applied branding

Summary

Integrated packaging design, structural development, and graphic application for an individual pizza consumption system.

Pizza Box required a packaging system specifically designed for its individual pizza format, addressing both transportation and consumption in a take-away context, while maintaining temperature and simplifying the user experience.

At Nibö Studio, we approached the project holistically, designing both the package structure and its graphic application, incorporating a reversible internal tray that allows the pizza to be eaten directly from the box while integrating the brand identity into the usage system.

Context

The project was developed within a high-volume retail environment focused on immediate consumption.

The packaging needed to function as an extension of the product itself, supporting both delivery and consumption without adding complexity to assembly or daily operations.

Process

The approach focused on integrating transportation and consumption within a single structure.
A reversible internal tray was designed, allowing the pizza to be removed and reinserted inverted, leaving the open side facing outward and transforming the box into a consumption support.

The graphic application was developed based on this structural logic, using the brand’s existing identity and integrating it into the visual flow of the packaging, ensuring recognition without interfering with usability.

Outcome

The result is a packaging system that allows the pizza to be transported and consumed directly from the box, maintaining temperature and simplifying the user experience.

A clear solution aligned with the operational rhythm of the business, featuring a visual identity fully integrated into the object and its use.
